The 3 Circles technique is a simple, quick and easy tool that you can use in a variety of individual and group conversations

Take a blank piece of paper and draw three circles, anywhere on the page, any size. The circles will represent:

  1. Yourself
  2. Your team
  3. Your organisation

Mark each circle with a label so you can remember which is which.

Explore the following aspects of the drawing:

  • Size of circles
  • Location of circles
  • Shape of circles
  • Imagined movement, are the circles pulling together or pushing apart?
